Many researchers believe that the amyloid cascade hypothesis best explains the cause of Alzheimer’s disease. And there’s research to suggest that certain therapeutic Interventions at a biomolecular level can have a powerful effect against the disease. The rules of the environment and gameplay emulate this hypothesis and potential solutions.
We believe that by playing in an environment governed by the Pathology of Alzheimer’s disease that the player will be able to perceive and understand the science in a meaningful yet casual manner. We have teamed up with Dr Jody Mason of Bath University, a leading Biochemist currently researching the causes and prevention Alzheimer’s disease. We consider Dr Mason to be the Game Writer in this situation. The game environment and gameplay evolves directly from research into the disease.
The Brain Cells are involved in a microscopic war of epic proportions and its time their story was told.
Fayju have teamed up with Dr Jody Mason of Bath University, a leading biochemist currently researching the causes and prevention Alzheimer’s disease. The gameplay and it’s environment has been developed directly from research into the disease and have been inspired by the Amyloid Cascade Hypothesis. Ultimately the goal of Cascade is to raise awareness of Alzheimer’s disease. Also a great way to drive engagement with research and science.
